Nicole Makin is the Founder of Evolve Cayman. Nicole brings more than 18 years of experience in the Cayman Islands market, with a unique background in finance, hospitality, and development. For the past decade Nicole has worked on planning hotel development strategies and acquisitions in the Cayman Islands. Prior to this Nicole was the head of finance for an independent boutique Hotel within the Cayman islands after spending many years managing operations of hotels and restaurants around the globe.
Nicole takes a logical approach in analysis, beginning with operational efficiencies and core growth strategies. Nicole graduated from the University of Oxford Brookes with a BSc (hons) in Accounting, before completing her ACCA. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Strategy from the University of Oxford’s Said Business School and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist through ACAMS.
Jax McCarty has partnered with Evolve to help businesses and entrepreneurs understand their financial positions by making accounting for their businesses a streamline and efficient process. Analysing purchasing, and product line profitability can help businesses make operational decisions for the future.
Jax brings 10 years of experience in financial services in London and 13 years in retail operations in Cayman. She has a wide range of experience in local operations including a golf club, cinema, restaurants, boutique hotel, liquor, toy, gift and furniture retail.
She has successfully launched 3 online platforms that have increased revenues and given the companies wider exposure to the market share.
Jax studied B.Com in Business Management and Accounting in South Africa and then completed her CIMA qualification as a management accountant in London. She also has a certificate in Interior Design.
